The trailer for “X Men Apocalypse” has certainly created an excitement over the new movie, and even before the release, pictures of Evan Peters’ Quicksilver has appeared as a promo pic in a New Zealand energy drink commercial, Comic Book Movie reports.

Before Peters joins the army of X Men to save the world, the actor was spotted sporting a cool 80’s look in the promotional photo. While the story behind the scene is not known, the look is a fresh change from the generic black leather costumes which have been a part of X Men since time immemorial.

Peters was the star of the “Days of Future Past”, the previous installment,  where he played the lightning-fast mutant Quicksilver.  In “Apocalypse”, Peters will have an even more elaborate and exciting sequence according to We Got this Covered. This has certainly raised the excitement levels before its release.

If reports are to be believed, this segment of the movie is going to be the most interesting part of “X Men Apocalypse”.

While Quicksilver’s character was reveled much in “Days of Future Past”, comic book fans ridiculed the character and deemed it to be a less stylish version of the character from “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.

In terms of what the “Apocalypse” will be about, director Bryan Singer revealed to Entertainment Weekly that the film will focus on the origin of the mutants and will feature the younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm.

“It will also address historical mutant-cy, meaning the deep past, mutant origins and things like that. It’s something that’s always intrigued me when we think about our Gods and our history and miracles and powers” said Singer.

In an interview with Yahoo Movies, producer and writer Simon Kinberg also mentioned that the movie is set 20 years before 2000’s X-Men.

Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult will return to play the same characters, while the film will introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn and a number of others.

The movie is set to be released on May 27, 2016.
