‘X Men Apocalypse’ Movie is Better Than All X-Men Films; ‘Bigger in Physical Scale & Emotional Stakes’

The movies which take an emotional place in the hearts of fans mean so much more to them, and the upcoming “X Men Apocalypse” falls under that category. For every franchise that fans follow diligently, they have high expectations and know what they want for it to be perfect.

Chances are “X-Men Apocalypse” may just be what fans want it to be, with it culminating and bringing the series to the rightful end.

Executive producer Simon Kinberg shared with Collider, “It delivers on the dramatic story and emotion of the last two movies. It feels like the culmination of the four main characters really — McAvoy, Fassbender, Nic Hoult, and Jen. And it’s a bigger movie in both physical scale and I would say emotional stakes too because it is the culmination of this mini trilogy of stories.”

Much to the delight of the “X Men” fans, he also said that this will indeed be the climax of the characters, neatly tying all tracks, and is not the end of the series. As is known, “Gambit” and “Deadpool” is under works and fans will see Hugh Jackman as “Wolverine” for the last time when “Wolverine 3” comes out on 2017.

As noted by Cinemablend, with “X Men Apocalypse” the three-movie contract signed by Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult comes to an end. It remains to be seen whether the lead characters would continue their deal with the “X-Men” franchise.

Collider noted that Kinberg is off to directing “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” which only means that he won’t be a part of the next “X-Men” series. His comments about the “X Men Apocalypse” also being emotionally driven has probably increased the eagerness in fans.

With a good number of months ’til the movie is released, leaks from the movie sets and speculations have been doing the rounds. Early last month, image of actress Alexandra Shipp shooting in Egypt and surrounded by stormy visual effects had surfaced.

Fans can come back for more updates and rumors on the movie. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set to be hitting theaters on May 27, 2016.
