The release date for “X-Men: Apocalypse” is nearing and all the hype around the movie has been surrounded by yet another epic Quicksilver sequence. As revealed a few days ago, director Bryan Singer shared through his Instagram account that the scene took 2 months to shoot.
Evan Peters reveals more as he likens his Quicksilver counterpart in “X-Men” to the one in “Avengers: Age of Ultron”.
Speaking to Collider, Peters thought that the “Avengers” team shouldn’t have killed Quicksilver in the movie and he was disappointed after seeing that. This is what he said:
“They could always bring him back to life somehow or there could be another studio that starts making superhero films and throw Quicksilver in there. I was really confused as to why they killed him. I thought it was really cool. It was a different take on the character, completely different. Scarlet Witch was there and yeah. I was kind of bummed that they killed him.”
While it was earlier revealed that Magneto is Quicksilver’s dad, Evan Peters was quick to dismiss any more details about the relationship, or whether Magneto will become a horseman.
“Yeah, that does confuse things. I have learned that he’s my father at this point and I am trying to … I don’t know what I can say. I’m trying to …,” Peters laughingly told Collider.
In other news, Den of Geek says that “X-men: Apocalypse” will be set 10 years after “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”
The altering of time that occurred in the “Days of the Future Past” paved the way for the powerful Apocalypse, a challenge that the X-Men will face in the upcoming movie in order to save the world.
“X-Men: Apocalypse,” starring Michael Fassbender, Oscar Issac, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy, will hit theaters this May 27, 2016.
