X-Files was last seen on Television longer than we think, Season 9 started November of 2001 and ended May of 2002.  The series finale attracted millions of people making it the 63rd most watched series of 2001-02 according to Wikipedia.

Fox’s hit series X-Files is scheduled to air on January 2016, but according to Movieweb three months before the six episode event, a new Poster has been released to somehow lessen the misery of the fans.

Not only posters were released but also information that would make the viewers lose their patience even more. It has been announced that the upcoming show will be featuring everyone’s favorite supernatural investigators Mulder and Scully. Also, there will be a newer look for Skinner and the Cigarette smoking man.

New posters also started emerging in the internet courtesy of Mitch Pileggi in his Twitter account. He is doing the role of FBI Assistant Director, Walter Skinner. He will be joined by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson who will be doing their popular roles as FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

X-Files will return to Fox Channel with a two-night event starting Sunday, January 24, from 10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT following the next day, Monday, January 25, from 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT.

It has been 13 years since the last episode of X-Files run in the television, the next chapters following this sci-fi drama is a six much anticipated episodes from the creator himself, Chris Carter. X-Files is still the longest running sci-fi series in the television history.

David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson and Mitch Pileggi along with its original series stars Annabeth Gish, William B. Davis who is portraying the role of “Cigarette Smoking Man” and many more whom fans surely missed. The series will also do some guesting from stars that people should all look forward to.

Posters posted at TV Line says that as of today there is only one message from the hit series that fans should always keep in mind, that is to, ‘trust no one.’
