Lauren Murray was voted off on “The X Factor” UK during the semi-finals last weekend. After facing a sing-off with Che Chesterman, Lauren was not lucky to make it to this season’s finale.
According to Mail Online, Lauren Murray was recently interviewed on ITV’s “Good Morning Britain.” Speaking on the show, the former dental receptionist mentioned that “X Factor” UK isn’t what she expected it to be.
“Yeah, it’s about music and the judges, but at the end of the day it’s a TV show and there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes,” Lauren said.
The former “X Factor” contestant disproved claims that the show’s being fixed. Speaking to Yahoo Celebrity UK, Lauren hit back at claims that she was seen mouthing the words “It’s Louisa” moments before the sing-off.
“I just knew that it was going to be me, everyone knows that Louisa is going through. I had a feeling that week it was going to be me. I’m off social media because I can’t be bothered with all this sh*t. Chill out – it’s just TV, take a break.”
When asked whether her last-minute song choice was a factor on her being voted off, Lauren Murray claimed that it wasn’t. She mentioned that she had a bad week and her throat also felt bad. The former “X Factor” hopeful admitted that she was upset last weekend because of her sing-off with Che.
“‘The main reason is because me and Che were so close and he was the last person I wanted to do the sing-off with,” Lauren admitted. She revealed that she’s rooting for Che but also believes that Reggie ‘N Bollie is a strong act.
“I think it boils down to numbers at this stage. I think this year’s been a really strong year and it could have been anyone [going],” Lauren added.
And if there’s one thing that Lauren Murray will surely do after “X Factor,” the 25-year-old singer admitted that she won’t definitely be back to the dentist.
