The crowd witnessed another double elimination on the fourth week of “X Factor” UK live shows. And now, there’s no one left in the “Overs” category of “X Factor” judge Simon Cowell.

As reported on Mail Online, contestant Anton Stephans was voted off on the show leaving the “X Factor” boss with no acts. After he faced a sing-off with Che Chesterman, the judges’ decision was 3-1 in favor of Che.

The site mentioned that Che gave a “soulful” rendition to Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” while Anton dramatically sang to “I Can’t Make You Love Me” by Bonnie Ratt.

During the sing-off,  both judges Simon Cowell and Nick Grimshaw were faced with losing their final acts. With Mason Noise eliminated on Saturday night, Nick “seemed nervous” to lose another act. Obviously, each judge tried to save his own singer.

Nick told Anton, “I thought you sang that really well but obviously Che’s my boy so I have to send you home.”

“Well you know who I’m keeping and I feel passionately about this because Anton you’ve taken a lot of stick… I’m saving you because as much as I like you Che, I’ve become good friends with Anton,” Simon told Che.

“X Factor” judges Rita Ora and Cheryl Fernandez-Versin sided with Nick and chose to save Che on the competition. Cheryl pointed out that their decisions are not personal. She apologised to Anton for saving Che.

Anton humbly accepted the judges’ decision and thanked everyone on the show.

“I just want to thank everybody. Thank you ladies you have been incredible, Thank you Nick and of course thank you to my mentor and can I thank all the people behind the scenes. See you guys soon,” Anton said.

Meanwhile, in another report by Evening Standard, viewers claimed that the show was “fix.”

According to some viewers, they saw judge Simon Cowell whisper to fellow judges, “Che, Che” before the final voting. This indicated that the judge wanted to send away his own act, Anton Stephans.

The site mentioned that it has contacted ITV for comments on the issue.
