‘X Factor UK’ 2015: Rejected Contestant Called Back; Olly Murs Feels ‘Numb’ After Girlfriend Split

X Factor

“X Factor” UK updates heat up as ex-contestant Holly Johnson returns and presenter Olly Murs gets heartbroken over his ex.

As mentioned on Mail Online, judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez Versini, Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora made a mistake in their judgment on Holly Johnson, an estate agent.

Johnson sang a rendition of Sam Smith’s hit “Like I Can.” Cowell “believed Holly lacked personality” but Rita loved her voice and Cheryl thought that Johnson was just shy.

The judges then had to say their yes or no votes and Johnson ended up in the “room of doom” and told that she was out of the competition.

However, according to Mail Online, “Rita told Simon she believed they had made an error in judgement and the X Factor boss seemed to agree.”

Cowell admitted, “I felt we owed you an explanation. I could see on your face you thought how could I do any more. I want to own up to the fact we made a mistake.”

Holly was both surprised and happy to learn about the change that she quickly ran out of the room to phone home.

Meanwhile, the show’s presenter and pop star, Olly Murs, has also had his shed of tears.

The 2009 Runner-up of “X-Factor” UK has broken up with long-time girlfriend, Francesa Thomas.

Their previous relationship was described as “‘life-changing” and that Murs “was keen for his girlfriend to lead a normal life and not be ‘sucked into’ the celebrity lifestyle”, Mail Online notes in another report.

The former couple dated for three years and “have decided suddenly to go their separate ways last week after a holiday together.” Citing a source, Heat World also noted that Murs still feels numb after the break-up.

“He always worried that his relationship would struggle because he’d put his career first. Now with ‘X Factor’ and his singing on the go, that’s exactly what has happened.”

The singer is said to have immersed himself in hosting duties.

More things are expected to stir up at “X Factor” UK as the Six Chair Challenge continues on this week.
