Adele will take the stage in this year’s season finale of “X Factor” UK on Sunday (Dec.13) at Wembley Arena.

“Adele will be taking to The X Factor stage to perform her number one single “Hello” during the series grand final,” production firm Thames announced on Thursday.

ITV promised that season finale of “X Factor” UK will be a “very special performance”.

This will be Adele’s first-ever performance on the singing competition series, which is already on its 12th seasons in the U.K.

According to Billboard, Adele’s appearance in “X Factor” UK also followed the released of her album “25″ last month, which broke several music records.

In October, the British hitmaker said she would do a duet with an “X Factor” finalist if they were not “rubbish”, the Independent noted.

“It would have to depend on who’s in the final. It depends who’s in it. If they’re rubbish, then no, I won’t,” she told Kiss FM at the time.

“There was Ella Henderson [who finished sixth in the 2012 series], I used to like. But she didn’t make it at the time. I mean, I was pregnant so I wouldn’t have done it. But like, if she was in it this year and she was in the final, I would probably do it with her,” she added.

This season’s three remaining contestants – Che Chesterman, Reggie ’N’ Bollie and Louisa Johnson – will be narrowed down to two on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Coldplay and One Direction will also be guest artists on the “X Factor”season finale.

According to the show’s producers, Coldplay will perform “Adventure of A Lifetime” from the band’s new album “A Head Full of Dreams.  Former contestants 1D will sing both “History” and new single “Infinity” from their chart-topping album “Made in the A.M.”

“X Factor” alumni Little Mix (winners of season 8) and Fleur East (runner-up of season 11) will take the stage in a special collaboration on Saturday.

Ben Haernow and Leona Lewis, also winners of previous seasons of the U.K. show, are also set to perform.

The two-episode “X Factor” UK finale will air on Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. on ITV in the U.K., and on Sunday and Monday at 8 p.m. ET on AXS in the U.S.
