A member of “X Factor” UK’s 4th Impact collapsed before their performance Saturday night.
An “X Factor” spokesman said, “Celina fainted earlier before her performance. An ambulance was called and she was checked by a medic who said she was OK to perform,” Mirror reported.
The spokesman added that 4th Impact was given the option to have their rehearsal footage played or to perform live, but they choose to perform all together.
The group performed Beyonce’s “Work It Out.”
Celina stayed on stage to hear the judges’ comments after their performance, even after producers rushed a chair on stage when they noticed her feeling lightheaded.
Simon Cowell was all praises for the group. “Under the circumstances that was the most incredible performance we have ever seen. I was there as this was all happening backstage so I know what you’ve been through. I hope you’re OK, sweetheart,” Cowell said.
“Selena you really were a hero tonight, well done,” said Rita Ora.
The group’s mentor, Cheryl Fernadez-Versini, was also proud of her group and revealed the decision 4th Impact made.
“I’m so proud of all of you for getting up in those circumstances. You had the chance to use the rehearsal tapes but you said no. We [singers] suffer things like this. There’s things you have to just do and you guys did that tonight without the professional experience,” she said.
4th Impact, particularly Celina, thanked their fans for the support and she assured that she is much better now. The group are continuing on to next week.
Meanwhile, Monica Michael and Max Stone have been voted off during Sunday’s double elimination, Express reported.
Monica, Max, and Anton Stephans were at the bottom three following the movie-themed challenge on Saturday.
Max, being at the bottom among the three, was immediately sent home. The judges’ voted between Monica and Anton, but they reached a deadlock.
However, before Monica and Anton went on a live sing off, “X Factor” UK host Olly Murs accidentally told Michael she was leaving the show.
At the end, Monica failed to impress the judges and was voted off.
Murs later took on Twitter apologized for his action.
