One of the X Factor judges is not so happy with what One Direction is up to. Louis Walsh has some words for the British quartet.
The boy band announced nearly a year ago that they would be on indefinite hiatus, sending the fans into a frenzy. The media radar is always ready in case of a surprise reunion.
However, it appears that they will not be back as a group anytime soon. Thus far, pisses off the show judge.
Speaking to Event magazine (via OK! Mag), Walsh slams One Direction manager Simon Cowell and the band.
“Too much money, too much success, too quickly,” we quote. “Simon [Cowell] created monsters and that was it.”
“They all think they’re going to be solo stars. They’re not,” he added. He also said further that Harry Styles will only be the sole member that will be successful.
“Then they’ll be sorry they broke up and it’ll be too late because there’s another boy band. That always happens in boy bands,” Walsh continued.
Notably, Styles was the first member to launch a solo career after the temporary split. A previous report revealed that he’s been doing voice lessons to improve his vocal skills.
“People may find it funny Harry needs singing lessons ahead of a solo career but it’s pretty standard practice,” a source told NME.
Furthermore, Styles had reportedly tied his solo career with the performing rights organization ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers). He apparently registers and writes some songs with Snow Patrol guitarist John McDaid.
Meanwhile, Niall Horan shocked the fans, and his friends the 5SOS, after releasing a single a few days ago. It is a surprising move from the artist, especially that the public knows that he’s busy playing golf.
There will be more updates regarding One Direction and its real status soon.
