‘X Factor’ Australia Top 3 Revealed; Who Went Home?

The top three finalists of “X Factor” Australia have been revealed and they will go head to head in next week’s finals.

Fil-Aussie Cyrus Villanueva made it to the top 3 along with the duo Jess and Matt and Louise Adams, Rappler reported.

Cyrus, who received the most praises from the judges during Monday’s Killer Track and Curveball challenge, took to Twitter and Instagram to thank everyone for supporting him.

He also posted a message for fellow contestant Big T.

Big T has been voted off following a showdown against Louise Adams Tuesday night. He performed Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” while Adams sang “Roxanne” by The Police.

On Monday, Louise’s killer track performance of Bill Wither’s “Ain’t No Sunshine” had been heavily criticized by the judges, which brought her to the bottom two. But on live decider Tuesday night, she impressed the judges with her powerful performance.

The Chronicle quoted Adams’ mentor James Blunt saying: “When you start singing it brings tears to my eyes,” while another judge, Guy Sebastian, told Louise that she is ready to be a recording artist.

Two judges voted for Adams and one for Big T but judge Dannii Minogue took it to deadlock, Sydney Confidential reported.

“I want it to be Australia’s choice,” said Minogue.

Big T graciously accepted defeat and said: “I’d like to thank X factor for this journey of a lifetime. If you’ve got a dream, anything is possible if you work hard. To everyone here, good luck and may the best person win.”

His mentor Isaak called him an inspiration and said: “Look at how far he’s come. I’m so proud of him.”

Celebrity performers for next week’s grand final include sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Jason Derulo, Rudimental, and James Blunt.

“X Factor” Australia grand finals airs on Monday and Tuesday at 7:30 pm on Channel 7.
