“X Factor” Australia viewers will decide tonight who among the remaining 11 singers will make it to the Top 10.
The Top 11 competed last night for the “Decades Challenge” themed showdown, in which each singer performed a song from 80’s and 90’s hits.
Filipino-Australian Cyrus Villanueva is one of the singers who received most praises last night, zeibiz.com reported.
Judge/coach Dannii Minogue told Villanueva: “If you perform like that every week, nobody else stands a chance.” Cyrus did his version of “Wicked Game” by one of the show’s coaches, Chris Isaak.
Watch the performances of Top 11 — Georgia Denton, Big T, Jimmy Davis, Michaela Baranov, Louise Adams, Jess & Matt, Mahalia Simpson, In Stereo, The Fisher Boys, Natalie Conway, and Cyrus Villanueva — below.
Dan Hamill was the first act who got kicked off in this season of Aussie’s “X Factor” after a sing-off against 15-year-old Denton.
Hamill failed to make it to the Top 11 with his rendition of Alicia Key’s “Empire State of Mind,” the International Business Times reported. On the other hand, judges were impressed with Denton’s rendition of Beyonce’s “Ave Maria.” Three of the four coaches sent Dan home.
Hamill was mentored by James Blunt, who was devastated by the thought that his choice of song might be the reason Dan got eliminated, the Daily Mail reported. Denton belongs to Minogue’s Under 25 Females.
Meanwhile, fans also watched Justin Bieber performed his hit new single “What Do You Mean” on “X Factor” Australia stage last week. His appearance was part of a promo tour on Down Under for his comeback single and upcoming album.
Jessica Mauboy also took the stage and sang her hit, “This Ain’t love.”
According to zeibiz.com, Robbie Williams, One Direction and Ellie Goulding are the special guests this week.
“X Factor” Australia airs at 7:30pm on Channel Seven.
