WWE fans might have to face disappointment as the match between Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar seems set to get canceled as Triple H exerts effort to make that happen.
With the news of the return of Goldberg to the ring, people have been waiting to see him and Lesnar facing off. However, the latest rumors from WWE have indicated that Triple H is trying to prevent Goldberg from entering the ring for the Royal Rumble, as well as the battle between him and Lesnar. If the reports are to be believed, the reason behind the player prohibiting the veteran wrestler from battling in the ring is not evil.
It is only Triple H’s concern that is making him do so. It has been a long time since Goldberg left wrestling while Lesnar is known for defeating his opponents, leaving them bloodied. Fifty-year-old Goldberg’s participation in the match against Lesnar would mean a dangerous game to start a comeback after more than a decade.
It was 12 years ago when Goldberg was seen in the ring during Wrestlemania 20 where he successfully defeated Lesnar. The return of the player with a match against the same opponent was taken as a challenging comeback, but with triple H intervening in the matter, it seems that WWE fans will have to wait for some more time to see the two deadly wrestlers together in the ring.
Though the news of the cancellation is only a speculation yet, WWE is likely to suffer a huge loss if it turns true. The return of Goldberg is expected to garner huge profits for the wrestling company. It would also be more productive if the first match after the comeback is with Lesnar, The Inquisitr stated. Where Lesnar needs to maintain his deadly wrestler reputation, Goldberg must remain fit for the upcoming Wrestlemania 33.
If the match takes place, it will be interesting to see how both of them face each other in the battle and still continue to be prepared for future matches.
