The Royal Rumble 2016 kicked off in style. The Royal Rumble PPV was aired live at 8 PM on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016.

As per the Wrestle Zone, the Royal Rumble kick-off match featured The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension vs. Jack Swagger & Mark Henry vs. Darren Young & Damien Sandow “in a Fatal Four Way Tag Team Match”.

According to the source the winner of the match would have got entry in the 2016 Royal Rumble Match.

The source quotes, “The finish came when The Dudley Boyz hit the 3D on The Ascension, but Swagger pulled Bubba out of the pin. Henry then hit a splash on Bubba to take him out, and covered The Ascension for the win.”

As per the Whatculture reports, many are hoping that Triple H will be the ultimate winner in the Royal Rumble 2016.

The source notes that Vince McMahon is presumed to be placed in the title race. He did make the “30 man over the top rope spectacular for Roman Reigns’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship,” but fans assume “that it was a foregone conclusion that The Big Dog would retain the gold.”

It is the 29th event under the Royal Rumble chronology and the first WWE pay-per-view of 2016. This will be the fifth Royal Rumble to be held in the state of Florida after the 1990, 1991, 1995 and 2006 editions.

It will be the second Royal Rumble in Orlando since 1990 and the first pay-per-view event at Amway Center since it opened in 2010.
