As a result of a lacklustre appearance at the WrestleMania 32 recently, new reports are claiming that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is planning something big for legends Brock Lesnar and The Rock for WrestleMania 33.
According to a report from Inquisitr, McMahon wants to maximise Lesnar given that he makes $6M a year and he is not even working on a full schedule. “It makes a lot of sense as to why Vince McMahon feels that a match at WrestleMania 32 without a title on the line or even in the main event was a ‘waste,'” the publication noted.
As for The Rock, fans definitely expected more for the returning legend. The wrestler turned actor sent WWE fans into a frenzy when it was announced that he will be joining WrestleMania 32, however, the well-liked star only “showed up, cut a promo, beat Erick Rowan in six seconds, and then took out the rest of The Wyatt Family with John Cena.”
Having this two things in mind, McMahon has reportedly explored the possibility of utilising the stardom of both wrestlers and use it for a big title match event at the WrestleMania 33. As Daily Wrestling News noted, McMahon is really determined to make the match happen soon.
Considering the epic match they are; McMahon is brewing. Reports are suggesting that WWE should lock in The Rock this early. Having him commit to a title match with Lesnar would mean more WWE appearances for the actor which may cause filming conflicts should he have any movie projects lined up next year.
As for the “Beast Incarnate,” a Wrestle Zone report already confirmed that he will be making an appearance at a WWE Live Event in Hawaii in June. Rumours are also starting to circulate that a match against Bray Wyatt could be in the cards, Ecumenical News noted.
