Chris Jericho defeated Sami Zayn in the WWE Clash of Champions 2016 pay-per-view that took place on September 25, 2016 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The two Canadian wrestlers faced each other off in the ring for the first time, offering fans a great match to watch. Zayn and Jericho fought in the corner area. The former was the first to drop his rival. Jericho used a Pele kick to defeat Zayn.
Jericho knocked Zayn down in the Walls of Jericho. Though the former fought very well and competitively, he had to face a defeat with a Codebreaker, giving the winner the three counts while declaring him the winner of the match. Zayn missed on two separate dives, thereby enhancing the confidence level of Jericho. Throughout the match, there were several ugly spots that surprised the fans and WWE Clash of Champions 2016 followers.
Fans are awaiting the Raw match to be held in the coming weeks where the two stars will once again enter the ring to face each other. However, none of them have been shown on the title pictures yet.
The competitors also had a meeting prior to the match on Monday Night Raw some time back, as reported by the Cageside Seats. Mirror UK reporter Neil Docking mentioned some of the possible wins and losses in the 2016 season. Kevin Owens has defended his stand at the WWE Universal Championship for the first time as he prepares to face Seth Rollins on Sunday.

In addition, the WWE Raw Women’s Championship finalists would be decided after a triple threat match among Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Bayley, along with Cesaro and Sheamus, who will settle their Best of Seven Series.
