WWE fans rejoice! 2K Sports has just released the first gameplay trailer for “WWE 2K16” as well as a detailed look at the in-game features and improvements of the upcoming video game.
Taking the stage at Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany just this Wednesday, 2K revealed a load of info about the next installment of its “WWE 2K” video game franchise, including new options and returning game modes.
Here’s a lowdown of what to expect
According to WWE.com, 2K Sports is bringing 2K Showcase and MyCareer back on “WWE 2K16”. The story-based modes are something fans have enjoyed in previous installments of the video game and is expected to enjoy in “2K16”.
2K Showcase allows gamers to relive historical matches in WWE history, while MyCareer will now allow gamers to start their career from the developmental ranks of NXT and make their way up to a Hall of Famer.
The Creation suite of the game have also been upgraded. Not only will gamers be able to create their own wrestling superstar and their own entrances, Create a Diva, Create a Championship, Create an Arena and Create a Show were also added to the title’s modes.
“Changes will become apparent in the form of improved controls, new moves and submission holds, a new reversal system, a new pinfall system, improved AI, additional match types, new chain wrestling and a new system called working holds, which will affect a character’s stamina based on how the maneuver is applied,” WWE.com noted.
Aside from the improved features, the first gameplay trailer of “WWE 2K16” . The 42-second trailer showcases in-ring action with Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in the middle of the ring. See their high-flying stunts and entrance animations below.
“WWE 2K16” will feature its biggest wrestler roster yet with 120 playable characters.
The video game will drop in stores on October 27.
