‘WWE 2K16’ Final Roster Revealed; NXT Gameplay Trailer Released

The final roster for “WWE 2K16” has been revealed with the addition of new 23 superstars.

The new 23 WWE and WWC legends, Divas, and NXT stars will be added for the Showcase mode of the upcoming “WWE 2K16,” the International Business Times reported.

IGN listed down the new 23 superstars: Baron Corbin, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Brian Pillman, Collin Cassady, Enzo Amore, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Kofi Kingston, Konnor, Mark Henry, Mikey Whipwreck, Ricky Steamboat, Rusev, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Sting 1999, Sting 80’s, “Stunning” Steve Austin, “American Bad Ass” Undertaker, Ministry Undertaker, Viktor and Xavier Woods.

The game now features over 120 superstars but some of the new additions surprised fans.

iBT wrote Mikey Whipwreck and Savio Vega are the most unexpected additions to the game. Aside from they are not the most popular with wrestling fans, they also have history with Steve Austin, the video game’s cover wrestler. Whipwreck fought with Austin during his time in ECW, while Savio Vega had a rivalry with Austin back in the 90s. Brian Pillman also had a feud with Austin during the controversial Attitude Era.

The two versions of Stephanie McMahon and Vigilante Sting raised questions from fans as well, especially when more popular Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Bayley have been excluded.

The good news though is that the “Four Horsewomen” of NXT and other characters that were omitted can be downloaded when the DLC for the game becomes available.

There are a few repeat character models as well, such as “Stunning” Steve Austin, which is expected, and the inclusion of two more Undertakers, iBT noted.

Earlier this year, 2K Sports announced that “WWE 2K16” would feature the largest roster in franchise history, Examiner noted.

“WWE 2K16” is scheduled for release on October 27, 2015 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in North America. It will be available internationally on October 30, 2015.
