‘Wonder Woman’ Movie Ends Filming; ‘Exciting, Happy’ Film Before ‘Justice League’?

Wonder Woman

The filming for the “Wonder Woman” movie has finally ended. This, actress Gal Gadot, herself confirmed.

After making her superhero debut in “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Gadot is set to star in her own solo DC film. What can she say about the movie now that their “rather lengthy” shoot is over? Apparently, still not much. According to Collider, the actress just marked the end of the shoot with an Instagram post. “Today was my last day shooting the solo [‘Wonder Woman’]! It’s been such an amazing, exciting…experience,” she wrote. “I will cherish it forever,” the actress added.

Gadot also thanked everyone she worked with on set. “Thank you to…our amazing cast, crew and phenomenal director,” she wrote on Instagram. “Monster” helmer Patty Jenkins was the “phenomenal director” Gadot was talking about. The “amazing cast” meanwhile includes Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, and Robin Wright.

The former Ms Israel also called the project “dreamy…happy and fascinating.” Can fans expect the final product to be that way as well? They might have to stay put for  a while to find out. “Wonder Woman” would not be released until next year. But everyone is already excited to watch it. As Collider pointed out, it will be “the first female-led superhero movie” in recent years.

Meanwhile, Gadot’s stint as the Amazonian hero does not end with this solo film. The actress would reportedly join the “Justice League” shoot right after “Wonder Woman” wraps up. According to News Everyday, there are rumours that the film will pit Gadot’s character against Aquaman. Aquaman is played by former “Game of Thrones” star Jason Momoa. Will these characters really battle it out in “Justice League?” Fans will have to wait for the movie to find out.

“Wonder Woman” is set to hit the big screen on  June 2, 2017.
