Wonder Woman Has 2 Lovers? Girlfriend Soon Revealed?

Wonder Woman Has 2 Lovers? Girlfriend Soon Revealed?

Many are wondering if the forthcoming Wonder Woman movie will touch on the superheroine’s sexuality.

William Marston, who co-created the superhero, credited his wife Elizabeth with the idea of Diana Prince’s love of women. The couple’s relationship with partner Olive Byrne also influenced the idea of Diana’s sexuality.

When Marston developed the character, he deliberately included the idea of alternative sexuality. According to Movie Pilot, Marston’s love of bondage and female domination was manifested in Wonder Woman’s Golden Age comics.

The superheroine’s fascination for women disappeared through the decades until recently. In 2014, DC’s Secret Origins series featured a snapshot of the life of Diana in Themiscyra and explored her relationship with Aleka. The comic series reportedly revealed the sexual tension between the two and the possibility of “love” blossoming between them.

Movie Pilot added that this year’s Rebirth comic also presented the superhero as a heartbreaker on Themiscyra. It seems that Diana got involved with several female lovers in the series.

The site noted that DC and Warner Bros. may take the chance to introduce Diana Prince’s sexuality into the storyline of the upcoming movie. It will definitely create a huge cultural impact. However, it is highly unlikely that DC and Warner Bros will do that since their most recent movies have been the center of controversies recently.

The upcoming DC movie stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince, a.k.a Wonder Woman. Chris Pine, Robin Wright and Connie Nielsen will also appear in the movie.

Meanwhile, Diana Price will team up with fellow government agent Jaime Sommers in the new comic series titled Wonder Woman ’77 Meets The Bionic Woman.

In the miniseries, the two superheroes will join forces to fight a rogue secret faction called CASTRA. The illustrations of characters were developed based their TV appearance in the 1970s. TV star Lynda Carter played Wonder Woman during the time while Lindsay Wagner portrayed The Bionic Woman.

Wonder Woman ’77 Meets The Bionic Woman will be available starting December 7, 2016.

Wonder Woman movie will hit theaters on June 2, 2017.

no. you want a gay/lesbian superhero movie, go try and make a midnighter or batwoman movie happen. both of which would be awesome, but doing it in wonder woman would just piss people off on both sides of the spectrum.

Because it shouldn’t matter. They would be doing it just to do it. There’s no good reason other than to be pc and push an agenda. Honestly it’s pandering and a little insulting. That’s like taking Natasha Ly character in orange is the new black and making her straight so she can appeal to people who aren’t gay.
