“Wolverine 3” will not hit theaters until next year. But is it true that “X-Men” fans already know what to expect from this next installment? Has the movie’s title really been leaked? Can fans now guess what the movie’s plot is going to be?

According to Game Zone, their sources have disclosed that the next “Wolverine” movie will be called “Weapon X.” This has yet to be confirmed by Fox itself. But what could this title mean for the arc the film is set to explore? “This suggests that the program which created Wolverine will play a large role in the film,” Game Zone said in its report. “Maybe a resurgence of the initiative that Wolverine plans to shut down once and for all.”

“Weapon X” as a title could also offer “closure” to the titular mutant’s story. It can also be seen as a possible set-up for Wolverine’s clone, X-23. However, the blog insisted “Wolverine 3” will not be the film fans would likely anticipate. As Game Zone pointed out, the movie will be the last time fans will see Hugh Jackman as the iconic “X-Men” member. So, the movie studio is expected to pull out all the stops on this movie.

Producer Simon Kinberg also said they are working towards the unexpected for Logan’s next movie. “It’s a very radical, bold, different Wolverine than you’ve ever seen in any of these movies,” Kinberg told Collider. But the character himself is not the only one set to be different.  “It takes place in the future, and as you and others have reported, it is an R-rated movie. It’s violent, it’s kind of like a western in its tone. It’s just a very cool, different film,” he said.

Will the movie really be called “Weapon X?” Fans need not wait too long to find out. Fox is set to officially announce the movie’s title at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
