Yet another clue about the storyline of “Winds of Winter”, the sixth book of “A Song of Ice and Fire” series, has dropped jaws and added to the confusion which was already hovering in our minds.

Finn Jones, the 27-year-old actor who plays Loras Tyrell in the TV edition “Game of Thrones”, spilled the beans during a panel discussion interview at New York Comic Con 2015, as reported by iDigital Times. Jones revealed that the Iron Throne, which is the root cause for the blood splattering battles among the various houses, will possibly never have a successor and might be used for a completely different purpose altogether.

“Basically, what I think is that there will be a huge battle between Ice and Fire factions. I think Ice and Fire will completely destroy themselves in this great war. It’ll destroy Westeros and they’ll have to dissolve the Iron Throne because it has Valyrian Steel,” the British actor said.

“A lot of people will die and out of the ashes will come the tree people and a select few people will grow and give back power to the people.”

Bran Stark, who was not seen in the fifth season of “Game of Thrones”, will hopefully be back for good in the seventh edition of allegedly the last book of the series. Jones explained that the righteous characters of the series like Bran Stark, Tyrion Lannister and Brienne of Tarth will put the messed up kingdom back into its place.

The idea regarding the Iron Throne is that the battle possibly kills the primary candidates of the throne and the throne is melted and used for commercial purposes as it is made up of the highly expensive Valyrian Steel, Christian Post notes.

Though it is not yet confirmed whether the sixth book will launch before the Sixth season of the TV series which is ready to release in April next year, GoT followers and “Ice and Fire” readers will have to just wait until the release of the book or the show speculating as much they possibly can.
