WhatsApp has got tough competition from other messaging apps and, to stay in the lead, the Facebook-owned company is releasing several interesting features for its users.

After introducing the feature of sharing PDF and word document recently, WhatsApp is ready to announce next feature for its users.

Users can now reply using quote messages to its recipient. This feature works similar to Skype’s quote messages.

Earlier this week, a new feature was found in beta builds of WhatsApp for Android, and it is ready to be rolled out for most of the users across Android and iOS platform. It will reach users through general release build from Google Play and the App store, notes NDTV.

The message quotes and replies features don’t need an explanation, but to use it, a long press on a message would appear an option alongside star, delete, forward, and copy. Hitting on the option would show the original messages as a quote and users can reply to that, as per Android Police.

While, the recipient would receive the quoted message as a grey box with the reply below it. The feature can be used on both one-to-one chats as well as group chats.

The Facebook-owned messaging service is using all in its power to introduce new features for its users to keep the app interesting for them and has been releasing at a steady pace. Recently, the company was found testing the video calling feature briefly on its Android beta app. On the iOS counterpart, gif image sharing support was rolled out on the platform.
