“Thor 3” starts shooting by summer 2016. It’s expected in cinemas by October 2017. However, it’s never too early to start promoting the film. No less than Thor’s archenemy, Loki, campaigned for the movie.
Chicago residents watching Fox 32 were likely delighted to see actor Tom Hiddleston. He was on air for an interview about his new film “I Saw the Light”. The actor spoke with movie critic Richard Roeper.
His weather forecast as Loki might have been a surprise and more so for the actor. Nevertheless, Fox 32 credited Hiddleston as “a man of many talents”.
Hiddleston evoked his character as Loki while dressed in a suit. As expected, he blamed his brother Thor for the upcoming climatic disturbance, Rolling Stone reported.
“My brother from another mother has been misbehaving. The god of thunder has brought his skill set to bear on the local weather, so to say, so there is this huge storm front coming in, and all that means is that [Thor star] Chris Hemsworth has taken his hammer and he’s smashed it on the surface of the sky, and it’s going to rain a hell of a lot. So good luck with that.”
Charles Bramesco of Vanity Fair noticed how uncomfortable Hiddleston looked during the segment. Bramesco took note of the actor’s facial expression. Hence, if Hiddleston’s face could talk it would probably say the following, Bramesco surmised.
“What am I doing here? I know nothing about the weather. Sometimes it rains, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m an actor, dammit. Bring me on, ask me when I knew I wanted to be in movies, needle me about upcoming work you know I can’t divulge, but God, the weather? What do you people want from me?”
Hiddleston is not the first actor to deliver the weather forecast. The website recounted actors like Tom Hanks, Steve Carell, Jason Schwartzman and Michael Cera who also appeared on a news program at one time or another.
“Thor 3” could be the last time Hiddleston plays the role of Loki. The actor hinted about this being his last time out of the gate.
Is it because he’ll be taking over the role of James Bond? Tom Hiddleston expressed an interest to play the role early on. For now, he appears Hank Williams in the biopic “I Saw the Light”.
