Daisy Ridley had tears in her eyes while auditioning for this “Star Wars 7” role. We are sure she would never have even imagined that she was reading one of the most intense scenes of the film. A new clip featuring her screen test will tell you how she nailed Rey for “Star Wars 7.”

Buzzfeed has an exclusive new video clip that reveals why J.J. Abrams, director of “Star Wars 7,” felt Daisy Ridley was ‘the one’ to play Rey. According to Hollywood Life, the video is a part of the “Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey” featurette. This documentary takes fans behind the scenes. It includes comprehensive footage, deleted scenes, and exclusive interviews with the actors and makers. It is part of the Digital HD and Blu-ray combo pack to be released on April 1 and April 5, respectively, reveals E!News.

In the run up to April, Buzzfeed released the video clip showcasing Daisy Ridley’s audition. According to Screen Rant, co-producer Michelle Rejwan and Abrams were looking for Rey for quite some time already before Ridley auditioned for the role. “What we were looking for was someone new. This character needed to be vulnerable and tough, sweet and terrified. And to find someone that no one knew who could do all these things took a lot of looking,” revealed Abrams. “It wasn’t until we found Daisy that we just felt like she was capable of doing all of these things this character required,” he added.

Ridley had a tough task set for her as Abrams had asked her to read the scene where Kylo Ren uses the Force to read Rey’s mind and she resists, informs Buzzfeed. “She just blew my mind. She’s reaching this depth of struggle, and tears are streaming down her face,” revealed Abrams. “I thought, ‘This is unbelievable,’” he added.
