“Game of Thrones” Peter Dinklage spat into his wife’s mouth before he received his award at the 2015 Emmy Awards.

Dinklage, who plays Tyrion Lannister in GoT, won the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor.

When his name was called, Dinklage looked surprised. He leaned over to kiss his wife and then turned around to kiss her again before heading to the stage to accept his award.

WhoSay noted that the “GoT” actor may have passed to his wife the gum he was chewing the second time he kissed her. Once on stage, he admitted that he was not expecting that his name will be called.

“I wasn’t prepared at all. I was even chewing gum,” he said. Dinklage also gave a shoutout to his fellow nominees, particularly to “Better Call Saul” actor Jonathan Banks, who was the favorite to win.

This is the second Emmy for Dinklage. In 2011, he won both Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actor for his role in GoT.

Meanwhile, “Game of Thrones” broke Primetime Emmy record when it took home 12 awards, including the coveted Outstanding Drama Series.

The HBO hit series broke a major record by surpassing “The West Wing” in taking home the most Television Academy awards in a single year, Entertainment Weekly reported. “The White House drama set the record in 2000 when it won nine Emmy awards.

Aside from outstanding supporting actor for Dinklage, other GoT awards at the 67th Annual Emmy Awards include:  writing (David Benioff and Dan Weiss), directing (David Nutter), special visual effect, sound editing, casting, editing, makeup, sound mixing, stunt coordination, and production design.

“Game of Thrones” led the 2015 Emmy Awards with 24 nominations.

“Game of Thrones” season 6 is set to premiere on April 2016, in which several new characters will be introduced.

“Downton Abbey” actor James Faulkner has recently been cast to play Randyll Tarly, father of Samwell. Veteran actor Max von Sydow (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will also join the show as the Three-Eyed Raven, the mythical tutor of Bran Stark.
