Director of the “Warcraft Movie”, Duncan Jones, has more to offer. In a recent interview with 2P, Jones outlined his plans for the upcoming movie, never seen characters and a possible sequel. He felt that the characters wont be conflict oriented and would be more inclined for peace. He would like to see how the characters are translated to the big screen.

The Director also indicated that the movie would be more focused on the introduction of storyline and new characters unlike Peter Jackson’s “Lord of the Rings” which focused more on the conflict between humans and orcs. Crossmap noted him as saying, “A Warcraft film should not be about a good race of humans battling an evil race of Orcs! Warcraft should be about heroes on both sides trying to avoid a conflict, when villains leave them no choice.”

While speaking about the plot he did mention about the new and unique storyline that will be introduced in the movie. When asked about how the introduction of new characters would affect the storyline, he said, “You will have to wait and see!  Our story takes place at a very particular moment in the lore time-line. There are some new characters, and some that already existed, but who may not be that well-known.  There will be a great deal to think about, for those who are deeply knowledgeable about the Warcraft lore.”

He also talk about the actors particularly Daniel Wu, who stars as Gul’dan. Jones believe the star would do perfect justice to the character. Jones assured that Daniel is incredibly talented as well as good looking. Daniel’s popularity among the Chinese Fans might be an added benefit as he would play one of the most central characters in the movie.

In the interview, he also applauded Peter Jackson for his brilliant movie adaptation of JRR Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings” trilogy. He also commented on his upcoming movie and said,“There is certainly plenty more to tell! I would love to be part of that process of expanding on the lore that makes up Warcraft, but it will all depend on what you, the audience, think of our first film!”

“Warcraft Movie” will release in the US on June 10, 2016.
