Have fans seen the last of Daryl Dixon on the small screen? Has actor Norman Reedus really left the show to take on an iconic Marvel role? Will the seventh season of the “Walking Dead” really go on without him?
According to Comic Book Resources, the actor is still set to appear on the hit AMC show next season. But he recently did admit that he might want to be the next “Ghost Rider.” That is if Marvel ever considers him. “Hell yeah,” the actor said in an interview with Uproxx. “It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? [Expletive] yeah. I’m down.”
Kevin Feige earlier confirmed that “Ghost Rider” is among the properties Marvel has gotten back recently. However, as Screen Rant pointed out, fans might have to wait around a bit for Johnny Blaze’s return to the big screen. “Ghost Rider” isn’t part of the studio’s upcoming Phase Three. “Whenever a character comes back to us, it’s usually because the other studios don’t want to make the movies anymore… They all have potential, but we’re not going to say, ‘We got it back – make it!” Feige explained.
But if the studio does decide to make a remake, would Norman Reedus be brought in for the titular role? Will Marvel make another “Ghost Rider” movie to begin with? No word as of yet to confirm this. Stay tuned for updates.
Meanwhile, the actor will be returning to AMC this June with his own show, “Ride with Norman Reedus.” In the same Uproxx interview, he defended people who share his love for motorcycles. “People think that someone who rides a motorcycle is a bad boy or a bad girl,” Reedus explained. “But there are a lot of different cultures with different types of bikes.”
