“The Voice” Australia host Sonia Kruger is facing backlash on social media because of her dress during the show’s live finals night on Sunday.
Kruger wore a black dress with a slit up one leg and a yellow strap stretching from her right side to her left bicep, news.com.au described. But viewers took to Twitter to compare the yellow fabric to a slap band, crime scene tape, and a medical dressing.
“#TheVoiceAU has Sonia Kruger dislocated her shoulder? … absolutely terrible dress!,” one Twitter user wrote.
Another post read, “What number do I text to send home Sonia’s dress?”
While another user wrote, “Sonia Kruger’s dress has been fixed by yellow electrical tape….?” news.com.au reported.
The new mom recently resumed her hosting duties after giving birth to daughter Maggie in January, the Daily Mail said.
“The Voice” Australia coach Jessie J’s fashion choice also received some negative comments on social media when he did a number that resembled Barbara Eden’s lead role in the 1960s TV series “I Dream of Jeannie.”
“Good to see Sporty Spice judging,” one viewer tweeted.
Meanwhile, Demi Lovato heated up the “The Voice” Australia stage with her performance of her new single “Cool For The Summer” in a revealing bra top and hotpants, the Daily Mail reported.
The British singer had also been the center of social media backlash because of her cleavage-baring dress on Cosmopolitan.
Lovato has since broken her silence over her latest cover after an organization claimed the publication endorsed an explicit and “sexually violent culture,” the Daily Mail wrote.
The singer posted on Instagram, “What these individuals who are protesting don’t understand is that for the first time in a long time I feel incredibly empowered and the most beautiful I’ve ever felt on this magazine … I think what’s more important is showing women there’s nothing wrong with embracing their bodies and sexuality.”
Demi added she is a “proud Cosmopolitan cover girl.”
