Louis Tomlinson might see himself in yet another reality TV show namely The Voice 2016. However, Simon Cowell is not about to let that happen.
One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson received great reviews from his brief stint on America’s Got Talent. His precise calls during Judge Cuts part 4 impressed audiences and certainly lived up to expectations. Moreover, it caught the attention of other reality shows who likely imagined the 1D star on their team. Hence, the latest revelation from Simon Cowell that The Voice 2016 did try to do so. However, it seems the music mogul is not about to let that happen. Thus, any future appearances of Louis Tomlinson on any judging panel might not include The Voice 2016.
Then again, earlier rumors did suggest Tomlinson’s likely position as a judge on the X Factor. Yet it would seem Simon Cowell also had a hand in that. The reality show re-signed former judge Louis Walsh instead. However, fans need not worry. The music mogul revealed that the network and AGT producers liked him a lot. Moreover, his appearance generated interest in the show like never before. Thus, could there be more of Louis Tomlinson next season? Yet the music mogul seems to see a bigger potential in the 1D singer. Could he be grooming him as his protégé? As it turns out, the two are working together to launch a new girl-singing group under Syco.
“He has just signed a deal with us as an imprint of a record label. He has a new artist who is going to be released this year I hope who are incredible. He has got fantastic instincts. He told me about this idea I would say a year or 18 months ago. He stuck with it… I think he has got a real knack for this,” Cowell told Dan Wootton of The Sun.
Wootton surmised this could mean an extension of the One Direction hiatus, a conclusion that Cowell did not discount. However, he emphasized that decision is entirely up to the boys.
