“The Voice” consists of four talented judges – Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera- who was temporarily subbed by Gwen Stefani on the previous season due to her pregnancy- and the Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine. According to the latest buzz, however, Levine will quit the show and Stefani will return on the reality series. Will she be the permanent replacement for the frontman?
Inquistr notes that Levine will be leaving the show because his wife, Behati Prinsloo, is expecting their first child. A source went on to explain that the father-to-be is dedicated to spending his time with Prinsloo on her pregnancy journey. For that, it requires him to give up some of his major stints like the show.
“Adam’s been there since the very beginning and feels like it’s time to move on,” explained the insider. He’s been in the competition for 10 seasons. But then, the site noted that he will still be a musician while enjoying the way to fatherhood. “[Adam] wants to concentrate on his music and start a family with his wife,” the source added.
Meanwhile, the website noted that it does not mean that Levine “will not set foot on ‘The Voice’ again.” He may be returning as a mentor in the future.
Today reports that Stefani is back, but not to replace Levine on the judge’s chair. She will be returning to “The Voice” as one of Shelton’s team advisers.
“I knew you were coming back for season 10,” her boyfriend and judge Shelton said with a slight smile on Monday night’s episode. The website wrote that the crooner already expected her appearance because he made the invitation.
“I brought Gwen in because if there’s anybody who understands what a Battle Round is, it’s somebody who’s been a coach. She knows what it takes to win this thing,” Shelton added.
