“The Voice” Season 9 finale is happening tonight. With only four remaining contestants on the show, who will be crowned as grand winner this season?
Emily Ann Roberts, Barrett Baber, Jeffrey Austin and Jordan Smith will compete with each other to bring home the crown. For part one of the finale, the four contestants will perform duets with their coaches and with celebrity musical guests.
According to NBC Chicago, Emily Ann Roberts and Barrett Baber of Team Blake will take on country hits. Emily Ann Roberts will team up with Ricky Skaggs to sing “Country Boy.” Meanwhile, Barrett Baber will join Wynonna Judd to sing “No One Else on Earth.”
Gwen Stefani’s finalist Jeffrey Austin will perform “Hollow” with Tori Kelly. On the other hand, Adam Levine’s only contestant Jordan Smith will sing “Without You” with Usher.
At the start of the season, finalist Baber called Smith as the best singer on the show. He recalled that Smith continues to deliver amazing performances. Will frontrunner Jordan Smith win the competition?
Amidst the praises, Smith remained humble and said,
“There’s so much individuality. All of these singers have their own signature sound and I think it just proves that what society is looking for—something that’s different, something that’s exciting.”
Finalist Emily Ann Roberts is determined to become this season’s grand winner. Speaking to People, the 17-year-old singer said that she’ll have a “go big or go home” approach for the finale.
“I’m doing something a little bit different, something a little out of my comfort zone but I’m excited about it and I think everyone’s in that same boat where we’re just trying to lay everything we have out there.”
For Jeffrey Austin, being part of the finale was already an achievement. After he was saved last week, the NYC publicist said that everything that’s bound to happen in the finals “is just a bonus.”
Watch “The Voice” finale at 8 PM on NBC.
