Vengaboys Australia Tour: Check Out Tour Dates, Ticket Prices

Vengaboys, the famous Dutch Eurodance group who rose to prominence in the 1990s, are coming to Australia and New Zealand in late 2016, they announced on their Facebook page. Their tour dates begin in late October and run through early November.

The Vengaboys are a band of four performers, Kim Sasabone, Denise Van Rijswijk, Robin Pors and Donny Latupeirissa who rose to fame in the late 1990s. Kim Sasabone is their lead vocalist. They are well known for their hit singles “Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!,” “We’re Going to Ibiza” and “We Like to Party.”

The name “Vengaboys” and the band itself originated from two Dutch DJ’s known as Danski and Delmundo, mentions Eurokdj. Their original names are Dennis van den Drieshen and Wessel van Diepen. They used to organise illegal beach parties in Spain. “Venga” in Spanish means “come on!”

It is in one of these beach parties that the Vengaboys met up with Kim Sasabone and some of the other members that are part of the band today. Past members of the band include Roy Olivero den Burger, Yorick Bakker, and Eddie Ziada.

The band’s Facebook page mentions that they topped the charts in 20 countries including the UK, Germany, Benelux, Spain, South Africa, Thailand, Poland, Australia, and Mexico. They were also nominated for MTV’s Best Breakthrough of the Year in 1999 in the US. They have sold 20 million singles and five million albums.
