“The Vampire Diaries” season 7 will see Caroline (Candice Accola) making a tough decision with regards to her and Alaric’s (Matt Davis) future.
The CW recently released an exclusive clip from episode 15 of the new season of “The Vampire Diaries.” The video hinted that the vampire hunter Rayna Cruz is trying to kill Stefan Salvatore and Valerie Tulle.
In “Moonlight in the Bayou,” Caroline spoke with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) on the phone, and the latter reminded her of how wonderful she is.
Klaus also had a conversation with Caroline’s current boyfriend Stefan (Paul Wesley) about the fate of his relationship with Caroline.
The reformed villain told Stefan that being with Caroline means he can never prioritize her.
Stefan’s biggest priority has always been his brother Damon (Ian Somerhalder), and the latter is not in his best state at the moment.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Julie Plec said that Caroline and Stefan’s relationship is officially in jeopardy.
“There is no peace right now and after three years of living a relatively normal life, she and Alaric have huge decisions to make about: Do they stay away from these people that use to be their friends, does she go into hiding without him, will they get married, will she ever talk to Stefan again?” she said.
Plec added that Stefan will also contemplate whether or not being with Caroline is what’s best for the both of them.
Meanwhile, the exec recently penned an article for the same publication where she shared some fan questions she received on Twitter.
One fan asked if Stefan and Caroline will reunite in the three-year flash forward.
At the beginning of the season, it was confirmed that Caroline will work at a local news channel far from Mystic Falls.
By then, she will already be engaged to her former professor Alaric.
Unfortunately, Plec couldn’t give any details about the flash forward scenes, but she revealed that Stefan and Caroline will cross paths again in episode 19.
“The Vampire Diaries” season 7 airs Fridays e in the three-year flash forward.
