When fan-favourite character Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev) was removed from the equation on “Vampire Diaries,” owing to a number of unfortunate events tying her life to Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham), fans wondered about the fate of the show. But Season 8 has so far managed to keep the show loyalists gripped and on the edge of their seats. And now the latest word about the Season 7 finale titled “Gods & Monsters” is going to further raise the anticipation of what’s to come.
The CW has given the official description of the highly-awaited May 13 Season 7 finale and as is the case with any information coming in about the episodes, it raises more questions than it answers. We know that everyone comes together on the show in the bid to save Bonnie’s life, and it turns out that Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will choose to make the “ultimate sacrifice” whether Bonnie approves of it or not, as noted by TV Line. The description reads:
“THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE — Despite their best efforts to help Bonnie (Kat Graham) through the harrowing predicament she now faces, Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and Caroline (Candice King) realise their options are running out and drastic measures need to be taken. With their only chance of saving their friend lying inside the Armory, Stefan (Paul Wesley) breaks the news to Caroline that they may need help from an unlikely source – her and Alaric’s twin daughters. Elsewhere, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) keeps Bonnie preoccupied with bringing her back to their cabin but when his plan takes an unexpected turn, it’ll be up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends.”
What problems do Enzo and Bonnie run into when heading back to the cabin? What sacrifice will Damon have to make? These questions will definitely be keeping us up at night. Hopefully, tomorrow’s episode will bring some clues as to what fate awaits our favourite characters.
With a few episodes to go until the finale, keep coming back for more updates and speculations on “Vampire Diaries.”
