‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Casting New Nina Dobrev in Australia?

The premiere of “Vampire Diaries” Season 7 left us with more questions than answers, thanks to the flash forwards on the episode.

The wait to get the answers to the burning questions is quite difficult. The moment the episode ends questions such as who is the mystery woman adamant on killing Stefan and why does he need his brother’s help to ward off the evil, begin to grip the mind.

Well, is she even evil? Speculations about the woman being Caroline have also surfaced.

Variety had also questioned showrunner Julie Plec on the same. Naturally, no concrete response was received but the woman being Caroline doesn’t seem right. However, it is the “Vampire Diaries”, so anything is possible and nothing can be ruled out at the moment.

We will have to wait for the season to roll-out or until we get another sneak-peek, in order to get our answers. However, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Plec gave us a glimpse of what its like to be calling the shots.

When questioned about casting issues, she jokingly shared with THR, “All you have to do is call up the country of Australia, and tell them that you’re hiring. And then things just work out. (Laughs.) The best part of introducing new characters is that you have fresh new bodies to write for, you have new actors who come in with enthusiasm and excitement.”

There has been no word on whether the show will be seen replacing Nina Dobrev and it does seem quite unlikely since the post-Elena era appears to have kicked-off just fine.

She shares, “In Vampire Diaries, not a single cut gets locked without me putting my hands all over it. I love my time in post-production on Vampire Diaries.”

And we hope Plec continues to give us the best of “Vampire Diaries”, since it doesn’t fail to keep us on the edge of our seats.

Fans can catch Season 7 of “Vampire Diaries” on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
