‘Vampire Diaries,’ ‘Originals’ Crossover Spoiler: Klaus, Stefan Talks About Caroline

Vampire Diaries

“The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” crossover will bring Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) together again. For fans who are excited to see them, you’ll get more excited on the latest news – they’ll talk about love on the much-awaited episode! Will Klaus ask Stefan about Caroline?

Here’s what Executive Producer Julie Plec told TV Line:

“Stefan’s now with Caroline, and Klaus, of course, has just gone through everything he’s gone through with Cami. They actually have a surprisingly civil and honest conversation about love — what it means and the sacrifices that you have to make in the name of it.”

As mentioned on the site, Klaus has not yet seen Stefan since Steroline happened. If you’re expecting an “all-out battle for the affections of Caroline,” don’t expect that things would turn out that way, the site noted.

It was previously reported that Caroline will have a role in the crossover. However, Plec refused to reveal further details about it. Thus, it led to speculations that Caroline and Klaus might have a scene together.

“There is a presence of Caroline (Candice King) buried within that, but I can’t really say in what context,” Plec told Variety.

Meanwhile, Plec told TV Line that it was Morgan’s idea to have a crossover between the two shows. The plan was just to have him as a guest star on “The Vampire Diaries.” But Morgan asked them if they can do it as well on “The Originals.”

Plec admitted,

“We realized we have the perfect storyline already happening: the sire line and the war [between] all the trinity, and the prophecy saying that one of these Originals will die or all of them will fall. The fear of that impacts Stefan directly, and so he sticks around for an “Originals” episode to participate in the latest dilemma to come out of that situation.”

The crossover will happen in the 14th episodes of both shows. “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 2 will return on January 29, Friday, on The CW.
