The ultimate crossover is here and the teaser doesn’t disappoint.

The first footage from the upcoming “Vampire Diaries” and “Originals” crossover is out, courtesy of “The Vampire Diaries”‘ Twitter page.

The short clip shows Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) drinking where Klaus is welcoming his “old friend” to New Orleans, where the crossover is set.

The two have been drinking buddies since they met in Chicago in the 1920s. Sure, the two haven’t always seen eye-to-eye because of that whole thing where Klaus killed the woman Stefan loved but when you live forever, it’s hard to hold grudges.

“The crossover was born out of Stefan needing a place to escape,” Plec recently revealed to TVLine.

“He’s on the run. He needs to go somewhere where magic can’t find him, and we realized he can go to New Orleans where there’s that bar where magic doesn’t work,” she continues.

For what the boys will discuss during the reunion, Plec reveals that they will surprisingly have a civil and honest conversation about love, what it means and the sacrifices that goes with it.

According to the teaser fans can expect a whole lot of biting, stabbing and smoldering in the two CW dramas. Check it out below.

The CW crossover was first announced by the network’s president Mark Pedowitz at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena, Calif. at the start of 2016.

Shortly after the crossover was announced, Variety spoke with Plec about the storyline where the creator said, “I’ve wanted to do this for a really long time and find a way to do it that didn’t feel like we were jamming story for the sake of cross-pollinating the shows.”
