‘Vampire Diaries’, ‘Originals’ Crossover: Caroline, Klaus Reunite?

Vampire Diaries

“Vampire Diaries” and “Originals” fans will finally get their wish as a crossover between the two shows has been officially announced. But for some fans, they’re hoping to see Klaus and Caroline. Will the two characters possibly reunite?

Executive Producer Julie Plec admitted that Caroline will have a role in the crossover. However, she refused to confirm nor deny if fans will witness a Klaroline scene.

Speaking to Variety, Plec said,

“There is a presence of Caroline (Candice King) buried within that, but I can’t really say in what context.”

Buddy TV noted that Plec’s refusal to answer could indicate that something big is going to happen between Klaus and Caroline. Do you think it has something to do with Caroline’s babies? Will Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Stefan talk about it?

After all, Plec confirmed that Stefan and Klaus will work together.

“Stefan will go to New Orleans in a ‘Vampire Diaries’ episode and then he will remain in New Orleans in ‘The Originals’ to help Klaus (Joseph Morgan) deal with a problem that is super specific to Stefan’s survival.”

The last time fans got a Klaroline scene was in the show’s 100th episode. Fans witnessed a steamy scene between the two characters. Since then, Klaroline fans had hoped to see them together again.

Of course, who would ever forget his promise to Caroline?

“He’s your first love. I intend to be your last… however long it takes,” Klaus told Caroline in “Vampire Diaries” Season 4 finale.

Fans have to wait a little longer for the highly-anticipated episode. TV Line reported that the crossover will happen in the 14th episodes of both shows. Plec has an advice to fans:

“All I can say is that Caroline has an involvement in the way that we’ve decided to dramatize the crossover, and I’m sure there are spoilers aplenty if people want to read further.”

The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” will return on Friday, January 29, on The CW.
