‘The Vampire Diaries’ Ian Somerhalder Concerned with Nina Dobrev Career After Leaving Show

Ian Somerhalder is reportedly concerned with where Nina Dobrev’s career is heading after she left “The Vampire Diaries”, as well as the possibility that he might head the same path if ever TVD ends.

Speculations have been circulating that season seven could be the final season for the CW show drama.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Nina’s unsuccessful efforts of landing movie roles have probably sent a message to Somerhalder.

Ian has hinted leaving the vampire drama series on his recent social media posts and has reportedly also been seeking other projects.

Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that if Ian wants to have a something to fallback on after TVD, he better have to start making connections and campaigning for roles right now.

Somerhalder has been rumored to be playing Jack Hyde in the upcoming “Fifty Shades Darker” film, but there has been no confirmation on this as of yet.

Celeb Dirty Laundry noted that since Nina’s departure, fans and critics have doubts on whether TVD can enjoy the same success when Nina’s character, Elena, and the love triangle between her and the Salvatore brothers still existed.

Although Elena could still be revived, Nina seems not interested in coming back to her old TV show even though she is having a hard time landing a movie role.

Meanwhile, aside from career dilemma, Ian is also dealing with some marital issues.

There have been rumors that Somerhalder and wife, Nikki Reed, have been fighting over having children.

According to Realty Today, the 37-year-old actor wanted to have a baby right after they got married but Reed is not on the same page with him.

The “Twilight” actress has been reportedly cast as Betsy Ross on the TV series “Sleepy Hollow” and doesn’t want to jeopardize her career.

Somerhalder and Reed got married in a private ceremony in April and recently shared some photos of their intimate wedding.

“The Vampire Diaries” season seven is set to debut on CW this October.
