An American woman, Wesley Webb, who was killed last week, activated an audio recording programme on her phone when her murderer was about to kill her. Her partner shot her, as she decided to leave him along with her two children.

When Wesley Webb was killed on May 2, she was able to activate an audio recording programme on her phone just before her death. Police stated that the sounds of shooting, as well as, the murderer’s voice could be heard in the recording. The voice was of Keith Robert Smith, 43, who is Wesley Webb’s partner, police believed.

Smith right after shooting at Webb yelled, “F*** you! How’s that? That’s where we just went.”

According to Independent, Wesley Webb and her partner, Keith Smith fought over some matter and Webb decided to leave their Phoenixville home, along with her two of the children. Smith shot Webb in the chest. He then turned the weapon on himself and tried to commit suicide.

During the incident, one of the three children were present in the house. The children called 911 after hearing the gunshot and commotion. An ambulance came immediately after that and took Smith to the hospital.

Apparently, Smith will be in the hospital until he is treated completely and after that he will be transported to Chester County Prison. Reportedly, he is in a stable condition now. He has been charged with murder, criminal homicide, child endangerment, weapons crime and reckless endangerment.

Mail Online quoted Chester county district attorney Tom Hogan, saying, “This was a savage, selfish and cowardly murder.”

“The defendant did not hesitate to kill his girlfriend but he flinched when it came to killing himself,” Hogan observed.

He went on, “now the victim is dead, the defendant is alive and three kids have been badly traumatised.”

In the meantime, Webb’s sister has set up a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for her sister’s two children, Madison and Matthew. They have raised more than $32000 within a week. Lee Fleishman, Webb’s brother-in-law, wrote on the site’s page that he and his wife Wendy McFadden were going to take care of the children.

In another news, a similar gun crime has also taken the life of an innocent  and left children orphaned  in the Virginia.
