Ronda Rousey is the best female fighter in the world right now. With a 12-0 record — 9 wins by submissions and 3 by knowckout — it seems she has beaten every woman worth fighting in the MMA universe. Every woman but Cris Cyborg Justino.

One of the most anticipated fights in the UFC is the Rousey vs Cyborg duel. However, for several reasons, the fight hasn’t pushed through.

For one, the UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion fights in the 135 pounds level, while the Invicta Featherweight champ competes at 145 pounds. Then there’s the disagreement between UFC president Dana White and UFC Hall of Famer, and Cyborg’s trainer, Tito Ortiz.

While these reasons seem valid for some, for Rousey these aren’t why the fight hasn’t become reality.

In a Reddit Ask Me Anything (AMA) session, Rousey says the delay is all about money.

“She’s just waiting to be offered enough money to get her a** kicked,” the UFC champ revealed. “The delay is all about money, not her weight.”

According to Rousey, her current nutritionist has worked with Cyborg before and Mike Dolce can attest that Invicta fighter can “healthily make 135 [pounds]”.

“[Mike] said he could get her in ‘the best shape of her life’ at 135…She made 145 pumped full of steroids. She can healthily make 135 without them,” Ronda revealed.

“She needs me. So pretty much we’re waiting for her to realize that she needs to fight me before I retire or she’ll never have enough money to retire.”

Reading the comments of Rousey, Cyborg answered back with her own tirades via Twitter.

Adding to the already heated back-and-forths, Tito Ortiz revealed on Friday’s edition of “Inside MMA” that Cyborg was offered a fight with Ronda for December. This coincides with Cris’ previous post.

“I’ve heard from Cris actually that the fight that’s supposed to be happening at the Cowboys’s Arena [sic]. They offered the fight to Cris,” the former UFC fighter revealed, as quoted by Yahoo! Sports.

“I know her management said yes and I’ve told her, ‘Let’s do it.’ So I guess the ball’s all in Ronda’s corner and Ronda wants to do it. Dana said if Cris came down to 135, they’ll make the fight happen. So let’s see if Ronda accepts the fight.”

Notably though, Dana White has denied the revelations, saying “it’s 100 percent a lie.”
