København 4-0 Club Brugge
Sevilla 1-0 Lyon

It was never expected to be an easy match between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund. In fact, after having lost in their three previous games away at Dortmund, the title holders can consider the draw to be a positive result. However, coming off two consecutive draws in the Spanish La Liga, the team needed to win.
Cristiano Ronaldo made a fuss out of being taken off the pitch when Real Madrid were held to a draw by Las Palmas over the weekend. Coach Zinedine Zidane claimed that he had the Champions League in mind, and Ronaldo proved why he is seen as an asset. He opened the scoring in the 17th minute, putting Madrid ahead. However, the German side always had a reply.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leveled before the half. Rafael Varane restored the lead for the champions early in the second half but Dortmund held on. André Schürrle scored a late equalizer in the 87th minute to deny Madrid outright victory.
Meanwhile, in England, Leicester City are making history with every step they make. The newcomers in the UEFA Champions League managed to win their first home game in the history of the competition. The fairy tale winners of last season’s English Premier League are holding their own in the Champions League with two straight victories in Group G.
Elsewhere, Juventus and København scored identical 4-0 victories against Dinamo Zagreb and Club Brugge, respectively. French club Lyon and Spanish side Sevilla also brought home three points from their respective 1-0 victories.
