Tottenham Hotspur will take on Stoke City in their English Premier League campaign on Monday, April 18, at the Britannia stadium starting 8 pm local time.

As per the Premier League reports, Mauricio Pochettino’s side should win all their remaining five matched to clinch the EPL title. A 3-0 home victory against Manchester United brought them closer to the league toppers, Leicester City. The City need just 3-wins from their remaining four matches. They secured a draw against West Ham, yesterday, which got them to 73-points. The Spurs stood at 65-points

Pochettino told, ”We’re very focused on our job. We know that we have five games ahead and it’s important to try to win the five.

“Our objective is to win the title, this is the dream. But we know we need to fight a lot and have some luck.

“I have full respect for Mark Hughes, I think he’s one of the best … managers, and I like the combination in the way Stoke play. They have very good players and the club has changed its philosophy in the last few years. It will be a very tough game.”

According to Sky Sports, Kevin Friend has been stopped from referring the upcoming clash because of his “perceived support of Leicester has set a dangerous precedent.”

Neil Swarbrick has been roped in to officiate Monday’s clash.

The Spurs’ fans pointed out that Friend is a Bristol City fan who resided in Leicestershire and “attended Foxes matches in the past.”

The Guardian’s London football correspondent Dominic Fifield talked about the major impact on all “referee appointments”. He stated, “I just think it is a dangerous decision to have made and from now on every referee appointment has got to be scrutinised.”
