Persistent Tom Hiddleston James Bond 2016 rumours continue to circulate online.  While the dreamy English actor has denied any connection to the spy movie, fans are still set to see him take the new role.

As some fans pointed out, Daniel Craig who plays the sexy spy in the recent 007 movies has not even confirmed that he’s done with playing the world famous agent.  He did once mention that he would rather “slash his wrists” than play 007 again.

Recent reports also confirmed that bookmakers in the U.K. had to suspend betting on Hiddleston after “a huge bet launched the actor’s perceived chances from 2-1 to 1-2,” Vanity Fair noted.  This only speaks volumes of the fans’ desire to see him land the coveted role.

Previous Tom Hiddleston James Bond 2016 rumours have sparked more interest when a Daily Mail report claimed that the actor met with James Bond director Sam Mendes. The actor’s reps have gunned down the said speculations.

As for “The Night Manager” star, he has yet to be excited about the overwhelming support.  In a previous interview, Hiddleston dished on being the new Bond and a lot more.

“It is a national obsession to talk about who should be the next James Bond,” the actor told The Hollywood Reporter. “Everyone has an opinion about it basically. My belief is that Daniel Craig will do many, many more. As far as I’m concerned, he is James Bond.”
The actor then proceeded to compare his role in “The Night Manager” with the iconic 007 agent. “I actually think that there’s a lot that divides them,” he continued. “Bond is a trained killer with a 00 license to kill, and Pine is at the beginning of his relationship with the Secret Service. I think in Daniel Craig’s incarnation, Bond has become much darker, more haunted by his responsibilities in a way. I think Pine has always had that.”
