Three-Team NBA Trade Sends Dwight Howard to Knicks?

Dwight Howard has been the center of all the speculations for quite some time now. Trade rumors have always suggested that Howard is definitely not happy with his role in Houston. The Houston Rockets big center now stands in the middle of something interesting.

The Inquisitr quotes, “It’s quite possible that a huge three-team trade could be in the works between the Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans, and New York Knicks that could see the big center end up in the ‘Big Apple’.”

This is going to be a big change especially when the Rockets, the Pelicans and the Knicks aren’t in the best of forms and are looking to rebuild their team and strategies around the team. Reports suggest that this could well mean a big shake as far as the NBA roster is concerned. The trading options might also prove to be beneficial money-wise.

As per the Yibida reports, the trade could possibly take place before the NBA Trade-deadline set in February.

The proposal reads that Houston Rockets might receive Omer Asik and Ryan Anderson from the New Orleans Pelicans then rope in Derrick Williams and Jose Calderon from the New York Knicks.

Now the deal would set Dwight Howard to finally make his way to the New York Knicks from the Rockets and then Luke Babbit from the Pelicans.

The deal being touted as the “Blockbuster Deal” could see “New Orleans Pelicans get KJ McDaniels from the Houston Rockets and then Robin Lopez, Kyle O’Quinn, and Terrence Jones from the Knicks.”

Howard’s way to the Knicks side could see him fill in the gap and eventually form a strong front-court with Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis. This would also increase Howard’s playing time and finally resolve some of his current issues.

However, there is no official word from the team management and the trading options remain open until February. Given the current circumstances the rumors might turn out to be true.
