Ever since Marvel announced that “Thor 3: Ragnarok” is happening, fans of the mighty god of Asgard have been flocking the internet for hot new details about the latest movie. While only the plot and a few cast members have already been revealed, not a lot has been reported about Chris Hemsworth’s third Thor movie.
Apart from Thor, audiences worldwide are waiting to satisfy their thirst for his sinister half-brother, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston. With the events of “Thor: The Dark World” ending with Loki creating an illusion to look like Odin, fans are left to wonder what his part will be in the upcoming flick.
While the anticipation is high, new rumors have started to circulate that Loki will return but Hiddleston will not. The actor’s retirement has since been brought up after the “Crimson Peak” recently claimed that he’s done with his MCU stint by saying “Thor 3: Ragnarok” will be his “last time out of the gate” as Loki, Examiner noted.
However, the actor has quickly retracted his statement and has clarified his future involvement with the Thor and Avengers franchises.
“Truthfully, I do actually know at the moment how many more times I’m going to play Loki, but I’m not going to tell you,” Hiddleston told New York Daily News. “It’s not personal it’s just keeping it fresh for all paying customers to enjoy their films. And, also, I’m the god of mischief so it’s my predisposition to play games.”
Hiddleston currently got his hands full with promoting and filming “Kong: Skull Island.” The reboot is slated for a March 10, 2017 release.
Apart from Thor and Loki’s return, fans are most definitely anxious to see how the story will unfold in the third Thor movie. As reports have already confirmed, the Ragnarok storyline in the comics involved the total destruction of Asgard that killed everyone, including the god of thunder himself.
