Delta Goodrem announced her return to acting with an upcoming appearance on House Husbands Season 5.
Delta Goodrem is likely still on cloud nine following her first victory with Alfie Arcuri on The Voice 2016 Australia. The win comes on her fifth year with the reality singing competition. However, would it be her first and last? Was her intense feud with Jessie J enough reason for her to consider an exit? Luckily, it will not be her last as she is not about to quit. However, the coach is happy about her return to acting.
She joins the cast of House Husbands that also airs on Channel 9 for Season 5. Mama Mia recalled her earlier stint as Nina Tucker in Neighbors close to 13 years ago. At the time, her character had to say goodbye to the show due to her diagnosis and treatment for Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As it turns out, Delta Goodrem and her family are fans of the Aussie drama series that features some of the biggest names in the entertainment Down Under. Hence, her casting is likely a double delight for her.
She also hinted that viewers could expect her role as teacher Izzy Dreyfus in House Husbands to add a bit of spice to the show. The publication cited the official statement from Channel Nine that described her character.
“Riding in on her cafe racer motorbike, brilliant, beautiful and slightly tomboyish Izzy both excites and frightens everyone in the House Husbands world, and her audacious attitude is instrumental in diverting a threat to the Nepean South community that none of them sees coming,” the network revealed. The network’s top brass also expressed their excitement at her involvement in House Husbands. They described Delta Goodrem as a well-loved Australian entertainer who exudes charisma. According to Mail Online, her performance in Neighbors earned her the award for Most Popular New Talent in 2003. Thus, good things can likely come from her return to acting.
