Lauren Conrad is making a grand return to reality TV in celebration of the 10th anniversary special of MTV’s The Hills. For the special The Hills reunion TV event, LC will engage in a tell-all about living her life in front the cameras and what goes on behind the scenes.
In her own little way, Conrad celebrated the anniversary of The Hills TV show by watching the pilot episode of the hit MTV show, which premiered a decade ago.
“Even though I know how it all ends, it was a little difficult watching my younger self struggle — was in way over my head!” the star said on her website, LaunrenConrad.com. “Looking back, I am grateful for the incredible opportunity we were given to take part in this show. The experience taught me so much and forever altered my life and my outlook for the better.”
The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now will air on Aug. 2 and will put Conrad in an “honest conversation” about life in front and behind the camera, as well as an insight on her life today. The 30-year-old former reality show star has since found success in Lauren Conrad clothing line. In 2014, the Lauren Conrad wedding with William Tell took place.
There are also reports that The Hills reunion will be made into a TV movie, and this project will be completely different from The Hills: That Was Then, This Is Now. Aside from Conrad, The Hills cast members Whitney Port, Audrina Patridge, and Kristin Cavallari are reportedly in talks to take part in the film. According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie would start with the ladies attending Patridge’s wedding with beau Corey Bohan in Australia. The story would then lead to a catch up with the cast.
There’s no word yet about the other cast members such as Brody Jenner, Heidi Montag, and Spencer Pratt making an appearance in The Hills reunion.
The Hills Season 1 was launched on May 31, 2006 as a spinoff series of MTV’s Laguna Beach. The Hills followed Lauren Conrad’s transition to Los Angeles after landing an internship with Teen Vogue. She was the show’s main star until the fifth season, after which she was replaced by Laguna Beach co-star and rival Kristin Cavallari.
