Ali Vincent, who won The Biggest Loser Season 5 back in 2008, is the first woman to ever win the show and later on hosted her own show. However, years after winning, she revealed something traumatizing.
In a report by ET, Vincent had a TV guesting with Oprah Winfrey’s Oprah: Where Are They Now? on Saturday where Vincent shared her scary experience on sexual assault which happened when she was having a massage. This was also her first time to talk about the traumatic experience.
“I was getting a massage and I fell asleep, as I often do in massages. I felt so safe in this place, I had no guard up. And I woke up to — I woke up to someone feeling in my vagina,” she reminisced tearfully.
Vincent was shocked with what just happened and she immediately jumped up, ran and hid because she was so scared. “I was sitting there in a ball, and I was just shaking. I don’t know how to explain it, but I just was so afraid. I was scared,” she added.
After returning to normal state, she told the manager what happened and the manager came out and said, “It’s not like he raped you.” Vincent thought the manager was right but still, it haunted her for months but tried her best to move on.
According to E! News, before Vincent shared her traumatic experience, she told Oprah that she gained weight again and how her life slowed down.
“I realized last year, as I gained this weight, so much of my life slowed down, that a lot of stuff came up that I hadn’t dealt with,” Vincent shared with Oprah. However, she decided to lose it back in April.
After the experience, she kept herself busy with a lot of things especially her wedding plans. Vincent got married to Jennifer Krusing in May 2015. After her wedding, she got into mindless eating and drinking, where she again gained weight.
Now, she is into getting back in shape and has little markers of success where she feels empowered.
